As someone who grew up in Balloch, or Culloden East – couldn’t the different Gaelic names be used to differentiate the two Ballochs? – I have to say I love this. Great fun! (It would be great to see...

Thanks Anna! I avoided Balloch so as not to be confused with the Balloch train stop (of course different pronounciations due to the different origins), but there’s definitely a case for more Gaelic in...

Awesome! Do you think tram-train technology like that being trialled in Sheffield might be a possibility for some of this? Alas, I fear that something needs to be done to reduce the cost of heavy and...

Hi Alasdair. I am afraid I don’t know enough to answer either of those questions. Though to guess the first one, I suspect you’re alluding to stock that can go on both tram and regular rail. That would...

Thanks Simon, I agree with you here! In Sheffield they are trialling tram-trains and it’s hoped that they may then be tried in other cities – this has been suggested as an option for Glasgow airport as...

Just read your brief account of the house concert you were at. I play in a UK duo (acoustic, but with a beautifully just above acoustic Bose sound system for the small halls we play in). We have been...
